Physical activity includes any form of movement that you do for at least 10 minutes including walking, housework, gardening, jogging, lifting, dancing etc.

At Work HEALTHY TIPS for Active Living
  • Use staircase rather than elevator/lifts
  • Stand while taking up a telephone call/ meetings
  • Perform simple neck, feet exercises at the desk
  • Walk to visit co-workers instead of sending a mail
  • Take an exercise break at work to stretch, take a quick walk
  • Get off the bus a few blocks early and walk to your destination
At Home
  • Clean your house
  • Decorate your home
  • Indulge in gardening
  • Take your pet for a walk
  • Spend time playing with your kids outdoors
  • Plan active vacation rather than only driving trips
  • Park your car farther away from the grocery store

Most important: Have Fun while being ACTIVE!!!!
